Strawberry Congealed Salad

Step 1

1 large box strawberry jell-o

1 small can pineapple juice

1 large box frozen strawberries (sliced/sweetened)

Add enough boiling water to pineapple juice to make 3 cups boiling liquid.  Dissolve jello in this mixture.  Add frozen strawberries and stir until thawed.  Let stand until partially congealed.

Step 2

Crust

2  cup crushed pretzels

1½ sticks melted butter

3 T sugar

Mix and put in bottom of 9 ½ x 13 pan.  Bake 10 min. at 350, cool.

Step 3

1 8 oz cream cheese softened

1 cup sugar

1 pkg Dream Whip prepared as directed, or use Cool Whip

Mix and spread over crust. 

Pour partially congealed jell-o mixture over. 

Refrigerate.
